Vespa Club of America announces Hotel Deca as its host hotel for Amerivespa 2017 Seattle. The Hotel Deca first opened it's doors in 1931 and at the time was the Pacific Norwest's largest suburban hotel. It was built by many of Seattle's civic leaders and top business owners who saw a need for an upscale hotel in the city's burgeoning University District.
Reflective of architect Robert C. Reamer's distinctive Art Deco style, the hotel was included in the 1938 American Institute of Architects traveling exhibition of the 100 most distinguished buildings in America. It has been the choice of visiting dignitaries, Noble Peace Prize winning scientists, and the occasional celebrity ever since.
Located in the heart of Seattle's University District, the Hotel Deca is situated just two blocks from the University of Washington's main campus, and only 3 miles from downtown. A brief scooter ride through the historic neighborhoods will lead to the discovery of a unique blend of architecture, culture and outdoor adventure.
Rally attendees are in for a real treat here. Hotel Deca is the perfect location to begin and end your Seattle scooter adventure from!
